MELINDA KOHN is a native Western
Pennsylvania artist who works in various mediums. A watercolor painter, graphic artist and photographer;
she has had many gallery shows in Ohio, where she now resides happily with her husband; and of course, Bear and Steve. Her
greeting cards are sold in specialty pet stores. Every holiday season, she raises funds for homeless and rescued animals with
her greeting card sales. She has a weakness for the American Eskimo Dog, owning two of them (Bear and Steve) and especially
has a soft spot in her heart for dogs and cats who are blind. Lately, due to circumstances within the communuty- feral cats
get a place in her soft spot list. Spay and neuter, please! If not yours - Help Out.
Melinda Kohn is a volunteer for the Eskie Railroad and has
been filmed in that capacity for Animal Planet.
Mostly, she just likes to read, draw and paint; listen to music
and play the piano; and travel around with her husband to view magnificent architecture wherever their hearts may take them. She
has a very funny take on the world and all the animals who live here; humans included. Bear'N'Steve Greeting Cards reflect her observations on life, on dogs, and on things we thought we forgot about - but maybe
realize we remember after all. Maybe all the animals had it right all along. Of course! It's about time we knew!
Oh, and hey - check some favorite USA houses
on this site. Go see them! Alas, Bear'N'Steve are not allowed to visit them. (Ahem, why not?) Next year, maybe some architecturally
interesting DOG HOUSES? They DO exist! Bear'N'Steve have a neighbor
who have a positively glorious one. It's built as an exact replica to the main house. Lovely; and thoughtful.
